Since 2015, Storymasters has crafted dozens of animated educational videos for MediaSmarts, Canada’s not-for-profit centre for digital and media literacy.
Our most recent (and most interesting) assignment are these four 2-minute episodes on Close Reading. The videos launched across Canada during National Media Literacy Week in English and French.
This time, our animation team integrated vector art and traditional AfterEffects animation efforts with powerful generative AI to deliver elevated production value to MediaSmarts. This rapidly evolving animation technique translates to more sophisticated art, reduced manual key-framing, and higher fidelity animation.
The process is less about aspirational prompts to AI engines and more about corralling cutting edge generative technology to deliver a familiar visual style with greater efficiency than ever before.
