On the heels of a successful promo video assignment, Companies Committed to Kids (CCK)] approached Storymasters to help communicate key media literacy concepts to kids aged 8-12. A modest production budget meant our solution must be simple, clever, and concise – so we proposed the concept of “Media Minutes”.
With the help of CCA’s educational partner MediaSmarts.ca, Storymasters conceived, wrote, and produced a teaser video and 6 “Media Minute” episodes. All seven videos were completely animated using stock imagery, royalty free music, and narration. The series was launched to schools across Canada during Media Literacy Week.
